...and immediately I miss Kristin.

When did cars get so big? And she’s just a 3-series.

There’s a new shiny orange 228i where I walk my dog and it is yeeeeeuuuuuuge. Looks good though.

Need more colour options with new cars. Make car colours great again.

+1, it’s bigger than an E39, correct?

My E92 is perfect sized for me, the E46 is a bit tight, but I’m 6'4" so a bit larger frame than normal. I’d say the E92 was the biggest “compact” series, it’s still somewhat in the E46 silhouette but parked next to an F32 the F32 is MASSIVE.

328i or 320i? How is the car? I have been seeing these depreciating to agreeable levels now and I love how they look.

328i. Got the oil leak solved, just a dried up gasket on the sensor, and took off the bent wheel to put my winter tires on. Running great now, have a few complaints, but can deal with it.

It’s actually a wee bit shorter, though to the naked eye they are almost identical.

You enjoy driving it? I have heard the auto is all you need.

It does respond well to the road overall. Ironically the manual can be annoying and jerky at times when in Comfort mode especially when I’m trying to rev match, but if I put it in Sport, most of my complaints are gone with the better throttle response. Unfortunately the shifter feels rubbery still. Weird to say but I actually like the truck transmission in my Solstice better, it just feels more mechanical.

Nice, thanks for the opinion.

How do you like it? I was so meh on the loaners I’ve had compared to the E36's, E46's, and E9X’s that preceded it that always just put this stupid grin on my face. Though 100% if I had to buy new I’d still go with a 340i over any Audi or MB (though I am looking at a used MY16 B8.5 S4 purchase to replace my GTI lease in 2018 then selling it after a year or two if the G20 turns out to be a “return to form”).

It’s alright. The more I drive it the more I think it isn’t really a 3-series, but more like it matured into an older 5-series. I’m okay with it since I’m a huge fan of the E39.

The “stupid grin” car today is actually the ATS.

My 5-series experience is actually sadly rather limited in driving rather than passenger apart from the F10 which felt like a beached whale with as much float as my grandma’s town car in X drive Michigan loaner spec. I really want to drive an E39 M5 sometime. I am a through and through manual die hard so sadly my interest in new 5's is even more limited.

I’ve actually felt the same way the chance I had to drive an ATS. It’s just too bad the interior and residuals are an abomination. I thought about an ATS for my next daily but I’d like more torque than my current 2.0L Turbo and sadly that’s the only non-V to come with a manual.
